[poetry] Fibonacci

I wrote this poem after returning from 10-day during the Rome semester (so, November 2008). The structure of the poem is based on the Fibonacci sequence – 1,1,2,3,5,8,13,…,n,m,n+m,…, and so on to infinity. Which should make the meaning of the poem fairly obvious – it’s about the power and limits of mathematics.

Fibonacci

At
The
End of
Time itself
This poem will not say
All that there is to be said but
It will say more than any man could ever hope to
